Some months back we had a discussion on this list about Python and female programmers.

As it turns out several cities are pushing forward with the idea that includes both LA ( http://pyladies.com ) and now Boston.

The positive note I see on the whole issue is getting more people learning and working with Python regardless of gender.

So it would appear the Python Software Foundation is pushing forward on helping to get the word out about Python at the grass roots level which is where it counts.
