Software Engineer

The Software Engineer will work as part of a dynamic team of developers
to leverage scrum and kanban methodologies to develop a media centric
web application. This role is responsible for the execution of designs
that create the optimal user experience and will be expected to provide
leadership and thoughtful feedback to the design team in order to
accomplish those goals. The successful candidate will be expected to
understand and implement leading edge web technologies in a fast paced,
agile environment while collaborating with other developers to ensure
optimal solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) plus four plus years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience developing non-trivial web applications with HTML5,
CSS3, JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Linux, and Apache, 4 years minimum
• Demonstrable expertise with JavaScript, and client-side scripting
libraries such as JQuery in developing AJAX client-server web applications
• Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and other presentation markup
languages
• Demonstrable expertise with Python in developing server-side web
applications and RESTful web services.
• Good understanding of high-level design concepts (e.g. OO Analysis and
Design)
