So, i don't hear a consensus on whether there's a kernel of a talk-topic among these ideas, and I don't know what Chef and Puppet are so i can't evaluate the question myself.
We haven't had any Django talks so perhaps it's time for one. Should we start from there, perhaps at the deployment end of app development, and then work back to what Django topic would be the most interesting to the most people? Not an "intro to Django" talk (although that would be my level), but some aspect of webapp development that interests Django-using SeaPIGgies. Bonus if you can make it so that those of us who don't use Django can get something out of it too, but that doesn't mean it has to be a beginner-level talk. If anyone wants to lead a specific talk on this (or any other) topic, contact one of the SeaPIG organizers to get it on the schedule.
