Karen,
I came across this blog post today that might be another option for
you depending on what you are looking for.
It's a pretty simple and straight forward approach to pushing a Git-
based Django app.

Another tool I keep hearing about but have not personally used yet is
Vagrant.
Maybe if someone else on the list is using it, they might chime in
about how it works out, as it looks pretty interesting also.

Good luck and let us know what you end doing.

GREAT to know about this. Thanks!!! And thanks for the many
testimonials for Fabric and Chef. We'll be looking at these and
others over the next few weeks.

For anyone interested in Django-specific topics, there's a group
that meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Our next meeting is on
the 26th. Topics such as deployment come up often and we're excited
to welcome new faces to the group!
Additionally, I'm sure we could find some members who would be
interested in giving a Django talk for the SeaPIGs as well. It'd be
good to have some cross-pollination with these two groups!
For info on the group: http://djangoseattle.org/
Yes, that's what we've done in the past, send interested people to
the Django group. I know at least a few people attend both meetings.
But maybe it's time to ask the Django group to present something at
SeaPIG. If so, either the Django group or SeaPIG members can start
proposing topics.
