At the bottom, he mentions two important devops books (see the article for links):

"The Visible Ops Handbook is the pioneering book that talked about the dangers of snowflakes and how to avoid them. Continuous Delivery talks about how this approach is a necessary part of a sane build and delivery process. True artists, however, prefer snowflakes."

P.S. For anyone that has lots of VMs running together for a dev/test/staging environment, I've just managed to get the rather lovely ZeroShell running in VirtualBox, acting as a router and DHCP server for a bunch of VirtualBox VMs on a host-only network. I can share details.
