Hello.

I have now a PII-350 running 24 hours per day and I will put in the CPU cooler a
thermostat
for prevent that if a fan is stopped , i have developed a simple electrical circuit
that when
thermostat detects much high temperature will turn off electrical power of computer, I
think
is better left computer with power off, because if your fan is stopped ,your CPU will
be
destroyed in few minutes, and AMD CPU are much more sensible to high temperature.

I´m waiting for my thermostat, I should receive this at end of this week, the rest of
circuit is
full tested, now, just i´m waiting for put thermostat and test if this runs well turning
off the fan!!
I choiced a 60 Celsius degrees thermostat for my PII , and are available too in
50,60,70,80,and
90 ,100 degrees.

I do this because had all parts except thermostat in home because electronics is one
of my hobbys.
The cost of all parts and a metalical box can be about 30-40 USD and a thermostat 6
USD more....not
cheaper but not expensive I think. In one week I will have tested and running.
