Ignore what I said earlier... it wont matter in this setup.

> hda2: /win98    fat32
> hda3: /home
> hda4: /stuff
> hda5: /graphics fat32
> hda6: /games    fat32

Ummm how exactly do you have hda1 to hda6?  you cant have more than 4
primary partitions.  You should have an extended somewhere... this doesnt
look right...

and how big are these partitions??
