Several months ago to mittor a suggestion in a posting I added the following line
to my /etc/fstab

none /var/shm shm defaults 0 0

I. what does this do for me?

2. The line doen't look right. Should it say?

/dev/shm /var/shm shm defaults 0 0

3. What is /dev/shm anyway? I know it is realted to shared memory. But what is the
relationship?
