The install of Seawolf seems to choke on a system without any devices on
the Primary IDE controller. Specifically, I get the text:

  Running anaconda - please wait...

The wait seems to be eternal; longer than 45 minutes, anyway. I'm guessing
that anaconda is trying to enumerate the hard disks and is hanging up on
accessing the Primary controller.

I'm installing Seawolf on a machine with a defective Primary IDE controller
(more likely a bad connector). I have 2 devices on the Secondary IDE
controller:

  Master = hard disk
  Slave = CD-ROM drive

Notes:

1. I have tried enabling and disabling the Primary controller in the BIOS
config. Makes no difference to anaconda.

2. The (Secondary/Master) hard disk is accessible from DOS and Win98.

3. While anaconda "runs" the hard disk activity light is solidly on for a
while, then solidly off. Ctrl-C won't kill anaconda.

Can anyone advise me on how to get Seawolf installed on this system?

Thanks.
