I seem to be having a bit of a problem with sound on my Toshiba Tecra
8000. Here is the most recent /etc/sndconfig-* file:

[root@tecla /etc]# cat sndconfig-Pi9mU7
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias usb-controller usb-uhci
alias char-major-10-181 toshiba
alias sound-slot-0 opl3sa2
post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
options sound dmabuf=1
alias synth0 opl3
options opl3 io=0x388
options opl3sa2 mss_io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0 mpu_io=0x330 io=0x370

When I run sndconfig, it goes all the way through the process, until
it tries to play the sample. It gives me the following error message:

An error occurred opening /dev/audio

[root@tecla /etc]# ll /dev/audio
crw-------    1 root     root      14,   4 Mar 23 21:38 /dev/audio

I don't appear to be getting the correct modules installed. The opl3
and opl3sa2 modules are, I believe, the correct ones.

[root@tecla /root]# lsmod

I've tried the advice at both of the relevat writeups at
http://www.linux-laptop.net/toshiba.html. No joy.

Suggestions? Thanks
