Hello!
I just took a kernel2.4.7 and I compiled and I think I did every thing in a
good way but It just hangs at boot time and receive this messages:
request_module[block-major-3]: Root fs not mounted
VFS: Cannot open root device "308" or 03:08
# (if I specifie the root directory on lilo prompt this 308 bcomes hda8)
please append correct "root =" boot option
kernel panic: VFS : unable to mount root fs on 03:08
pleeeeeeeease help ?
