Hi! I downloaded all updates from mirror

for my linux 7.1,I only have the two CDS from Redhat installed,no
more software, downloading these updates is enough for security
purposes or should I look in other sources too, I mean for
Apache,Postfix, sendmail ,will be security updates added too to or I
must look in the web page of the program?

The Red Hat updates covers everything on the 2 install CDs.

Most updates are in the i386 dir, but also check the noarch, i586 and i686 dirs.
The RH updates come out very quickly, often quicker than the
package-specific websites or even CERT.

Check the package specific web page too, but realize that the Red Hat
package update will have all the security fixes even if not the same
version number as what you see on the package website.

Be sure to have a firewall running to protect you, like a good
ipchains or iptables setup. Turn off all unnecessary services.
Verify using "lsof -i".

The nicest way to install updates for RH7.1 is to simply
run up2date. It guides you through the steps. Beautiful!

Cheers,
Jan

PS: Code Red affects only Windows...
