Is there any point to enabling Memory Type Range Registers (MTRRs) in the v2.4.x kernel config given a text-only system? This machine is running as a server; it will never run a GUI. I usually read of MTRRs in the context of improving graphical operations. Would there be any benefit to enabling them on my SMP Pentium3 system?
