Hi,
Ive posted before regarding this, but still havn't managed to cure it
yet.
hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady
SeekComplete Error }
hda: dma_intr: error=0x84 {
DriveStatusError
BadCRC }
This happens as well on both my hdd's (hda and hdb) mainly when i
copying large amounts of data and occasinally when i rebulding say an
rpm or something similar
My motherboard is the Abit KT7 (no raid and no onboard audio) with a 1.3
athlon Thunderbird running on 100Mhz FSB with 512 MB Ram.
I have turned of dma in the bios and disabled it by hdparm and i have
also changed all the ide cables 6 times.This never happened with 6.2 or
7.0 ( i now dma wasn't turned on by default on those kernels).
Ive also tried several different kernel versions from rawhide and iam
still getting the same.
Could anyone possably explain in plain english what they actually mean,
could it be a problem with my via chipset's and the kernels?
Regards
Mark
