I tried this too and got the same thing.  You have to upgrade to the
readline in rawhide as well but you'll get even more dependencies and it
just wasn't worth it.  The samba works fine for now and a new release will
be out in a couple of months (give or take a month ) which should have it if
you can wait that long.
