Now you've started a holy war... Both desktop environments have their
pros and cons. I use Gnome because back then the Qt library KDE is based
on was commercial software. I got used to Gnome and I like it. I tried
KDE a few moths ago, but I din't like it. Gues I would have to get used
to it... ;-))) I especially hated this konqueror browser - it fatally
reminded me about IE. *eech* Tastes differ. ;-)))

KDE might still be somewhat ahead of Gnome regarding available software,
but Gnome is definitely catching up.

You can install both Gnome and KDE and switch between them to find out
which you like most. Remember: Free software and Linux are about choices
left to the user, not the manufacturer. So use your possibility to
choose - and try anything you like to! Enjoy! :-))
