There's also the Lyon (or Lion) worm that came after Ramen.
You can download chkrootkit from www.chkrootkit.org to test for them (it's
also useful to learn some security things).

No. The only thing they can do is overload your system if you're running a
web server - the stupid worm exploit requests can occasionally come in at
a rate of having to generate 5000 404 errors per second.

There's the Ramen worm, which can affect systems if you didn't apply
security updates.
