Hi
Here is the exact error message I get now, each time I run mysql:
mysql: error while loading shared libraries:
/usr/lib/libreadline.so.4.1: undefined symbol: readlixxxxnternal_setup
With some y with umlauts instead of the x.
The strange spelling of this symbol, might come from the fact it's not
being identified, so that's not the correct spelling.
Otherwise, I can't understand that.
Meanwhile, a check from the readline rpm shows:
rpm -V readline
..5..... /usr/lib/libreadline.so.4.1
which gives an MD5SUM error, though I've been replacing this package
with the --force parameter, two times.
rpm -F --force readline-4-9.1 ( don't remember well the numbers ).
I built the 5 CDs with Easy CD Creator under Windoze98, then checked the
md5sum of the CDs. So the CDs are not likely to be in fault.
I checked all the Apache/Php/Mysql RPMs - all fine.
I can't understand this problem: A CD correctly checked at a time, then
bad at another.
Apart from that, I tried checking all my packages, and got many errors,
mostly because the files were modified since the install. Some errors were
md5sum errors.
Is it eventually possible to get an md5sum error in an original package
from RedHat? I suspect that.
Moreover, the readline package had not be replaced before these errors
happened, and the md5sum error did exist before, though there wasn't any
mysql error before yesterday afternoon.
Cannot understand.
What can I do?
Many thanks.
Best regards.
