I am guessing the Teac is IDE based. look for README.ATAPI on your system.
locate README.ATAPI Fo me it is located in /usr/share/doc/cdrecord-1.9/README.ATAPI Here are a couple of random excerpts that may help: To allow ATAPI cd and ide-scsi support on the same machine, add `hd<x>=ide-scsi` to the lilo.conf append entry, or use `hd<x>=ide-scsi` at the bootup lilo prompt. I have my HP-7200 RW drive as the primary drive on the second IDE bus, so the statement used is "hdc=ide-scsi" Don't forget that now -all- of your CD drives are seen as -SCSI- units by all programs (/dev/scd0 etc.), so you might want to relink /dev/cdrom to the proper scd<n> in order to get xcdplay or whatever to work again. 5. In the /etc/lilo.conf file add an append line for ide-scsi, in my case: append = "hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi" /sbin/lsmod | grep ide-scsi Chuck On Fri, Sep 28, 2001 at 04:42:54PM +0200, Jochen Kächelin wrote: > Could someone give a hint how to run > my TEAC CD-W54E IDE-Burner? > > > -- > WA-P, Jochen Kächelin > Programmierung - Beratung - Hosting > Tel. 07161 - 92 95 94 / Fax 07161 - 92 95 98 > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > _______________________________________________ > Seawolf-list mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
