OK, this is some wierd stuff. If I change runlevels from 3 to 1, the terminal gets screwy and a half. This is with util-linux-2.11f-11.7.1, though I don't do this often enough to know if that is the culprit. After doing init 1, and say I hit enter 3 times, I get:
sh-2.04# [hal@feenix hal]$ sh-2.04# [hal@feenix hal]$ Yea, that's my normal user bash prompt showing up. Wierd. It consistenly alternates :/ Worse, the keyboard buffer is screwed and only the first letter of any command is recognized. So doing 'ps', gets 'p: command not found'. Hit just enter one time, and then I get 's: command not found'. The same with any other commands. So it's impossible to do anything, short of C-A-D. I rebooted and tried the same thing: change runlevels from 3 to 1, and same behavior. Reboot 'linux 1', and all was well. Then changed runlevels from 1 to 3, and still all is well. So apparently it is just when changing to runlevel one from another runlevel. Any ideas what might be the cause? -- Hal Burgiss _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
