Not realy.  It prevents someone from accessing your login secession.  If
you come back, and unlock your screen, you have your desktop back.  I
guess it depends on what you want to lock.  Do you want to lock access
to the console, and prevent any one else from accessin it, or do you
want to prevent anyone from accessing what you have running on your
desktop?

I like the way it works now.  After all, if someone has access to the
console, chances are they have access to the reset and power switches as
well, so if they realy want access, they can get it.  (this is also why
I like the Ctrl-Alt-Delete to shutdown mapping.)
