hello friends, i have redhat 7.1 installed on my system. and i want to run tomcat4 servlet engine on it. i got the sun's jdk 1.3 which is a bit old one (released when redhat 6.2 was hot and 7.x was not out yet). the jdk gets installed without problems. but when i run javac it gives error that hared object libjvm.so not found. but this file exists under the jdk tree. probably there is a change in library loading from 6.2 to 7.1 or something like that. my question are : 1. is it possible to run the same jdk on 7.1 after editing some scripts. 2. which jdk has been tested to run without problems on redhat 7.1 i mean sun/blackdown/ibm. 3. is it possible to run tomcat on redhat 7.1 with the kaffe that came with 7.1. a quick reply or pointer would be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance. vikrant
