Could you be more specific? "a problem with my connection" = ???
If you have a "linmodem", you must first have a special driver compiled for your kernel. If you have a true modem, then see 'man wvdial'. Red Hat's /usr/bin/rp3 is the best way to start/stop a wvdial modem connection. There is an ISP-Hookup-HOWTO that might be of some interest, but Red Hat provides all of this functionality in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. --Doc Savage Fairview Heights, IL At 10:53 10/19/2001 +0530, you wrote: >hi ... > >there seems to be a problem with my connection .. > > >could anyone write in "detail" on how to connect to the internet from a >linux box... > >i have a VSNL dialup with a 56.6K modem _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
