Speed is not really an issue (they just need to be "fast enough") but the group I'm working with really does need to have this much data online and immediately accessible. RGS> Dumb question: How do you back it up??? All of my backups are managed by Amanda; I've been using it for something like eight years now. The array itself is divided into several logical volumes of varying sizes, but never larger than the tape drive we currently have. (Except for temporary volumes, which we don't back up.) We use an Exabyte Mammoth-2 which holds 60GB uncompressed. Amanda manages the backup schedule, making sure that everything gets at least an incremental every night. - J< _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
