I've got this very odd problem...
I have two systems, one at home and one at work. Both are running RHL 7.1
pretty much stock. The home system is running kernel 2.4.3 the work one 2.4.9
(I needed one more advanced for a SCSI problem I was having... maybe 2.4.7
would've worked, who knows?).
I cannot connect to www.elinux.com from work, but I can from home. I also
cannot get any response from www.sun.com when trying to find info on Star
Office. However, almost all other sites work just fine.
I can ping www.sun.com and get replies back, so I know the routes are working
and the site is up. I cannot ping www.elinux.com, but that's because they
filter out pings and don't reply to them.
Anyone have any ideas where I look to find out what the difference is between
these two machines that one works and the other doesn't? Neither is running
identd, so that's not the problem...
