If you're having a hard time editing data from the MySQL shell, you might want to look into a web-based manager such as phpMyAdmin: http://phpwizard.net/projects/phpMyAdmin/ However, you should get to know what the commands mean. You might want to pick up a good book or search the net for some tutorials. The MySQL online manual can also be helpful.
