I'm looking at purchasing a Dell 1550 with a built-in dual-port EtherExpress Pro 10/100+ NIC and adding another one to give me a total of four 10/100 ports. According the the RedHat HCL, the driver for these cards won't work with multiple NICs in the same box if their chipset is the same.
Is this still the case? Is anyone else using a configuration similar to what I'm considering?
