Subject: speeding up boot kernal boot process

Hi,
Just installed 7.1.

I connect to the server via telnet, thus I just switch on the server and
await
for it to come up and then I telnet to it from another workstation.

The problem I have got is that unless I manually <hit enter> at the boot
prompt,
it can takes ages before the kernal starts to load.

Is there a way of speeding this process up.

regard's
David.
