The HOWTOs are at http://www.linuxdoc.org.  There's a Jaz-Drive-HOWTO
which might help you out (it did me).  I have an Iomega zip drive
(parallel port model) which I use without trouble.  I don't know
anything about SCSI, though, so I'm afraid I'm not qualified to help
you beyond pointing you to the docs.
