This was covered several months ago on either this list or the Redhat list- 
maybe August if you want to look through the archives for information from 
those more enlightened than I.

Anyway, IIRC, you want to do:

mkdir /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/winfonts (or whatever you want to call it)
copy TT fonts from windows (they're in c:\windows\fonts) into winfonts
cd into winfonts
ttmkfdir > fonts.scale
mkfontdir
in /etc/X11/fs/config add your winfont directory to the top of the list where 
it says "catalogue"
(re)start xfs and your X session 

Once this is set up correctly, Mozilla and Netscape particularly are very 
much improved.

Wild, uneducated guess - your keyboard is not mapped correctly. SuSE was 
notorious for a similar problem several releases ago. You should be able to 
remap the keyboard from your favorite X configuration utility.
