Hi,
Thanks for the command options to convert to ext3, Ive done that
seccessfully, so I figured I'd test it.
mmm
I just shut the machine down via the hard reset, and on reboot it ran the
normal fsck on all filesystems
(Its mounting it as ext3, as i altered it in fstab, because i rebooted and
then checked mount, before i done the hard reset)
But at home on my 7.2 system when I do that it reboots and says recovering
journal and 3 seconds latter, iam back on the desktop,
where as this test server here, as I said above runs fsck and takes about 3
mins to recover.

Presently in fstab for root ive got the following:

LABEL=/                 /                       ext3    defaults        1 1
LABEL=/boot             /boot                   ext3    defaults        1 2
LABEL=/home             /home                   ext3    defaults        1 2
/dev/fd0                /mnt/floppy             auto    noauto,owner    0 0
none                    /proc                   proc    defaults        0 0
none                    /dev/pts                devpts  gid=5,mode=620  0 0
/dev/hda6               swap                    swap    defaults        0 0
/dev/cdrom              /mnt/cdrom              iso9660
noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

I'll have at look at hte ext3 homepage, but any help would be great, would I
be correct in thinking i would have to alter the dump settings as well?

Mark
