Do you mean server or severe?

If you mean server, the preemptible kernel is not for servers from what I
have read (IMHO)

If you mean severe, the preemptible kernel is supposed to allocate more
CPU/memory to top running functions.  I would doubt that you really want it
in severe conditions (IMHO)
