Not enough if you will run squid or ipmasq,
or pppoe.

Squid has a big job if your people use the internet at all, and new
hardware is so cheap, why cramp yourself at the start.

A *new* machine of the best quality you can afford, preferably
with *NO* ISA slots.  It will be more
reliable, faster to work with, give you room to grow, etc.

Get good ethernet cards too.
