Iam nitin here . I had configured the ppp . While dialing from another machine Iam able to get the login prompt.As any other user Iam able to log in thru the dial-up mode.But when using the ppp dial-in account(which executes the script ppplogin present in "usr/lib/linuxconf/lib" path )..Iam disconnected from the machine. When I see the file "messages" in var/log directory it indicates "using the noauth option
requires root privilege" .
After this I removed the noauth parameter from options file
present in /etc/ppp directory. But still the same message kept coming.Then I saw
the ppplogin script and there "noauth" is present in that file. I dont know if
that is conflicting.
Iam attaching the options file, the log file(messages), and
the ppplogin script itself and also the login.config file in the directory
/etc/mgetty+sendfax.I have not configured either pap-secrets or chap-secrets
files.
