Just to wrap up on x2x:

you have to have x2x on both machines, then type

x2x -from 10.0.x.x -west -wait &

on the one machine (server)

and on the other machine type

x2x -to 10.0.x.x:0 -west -nosel &

If anybody could direct me to a good resource for information on x2x I
would greatly appreciate it.
