Hi, We've got a really congested intranet in here, based of course on RH 7.1. There're several machines acting as nfs servers and lots of crossed mounts ;-). The problem I've got is an unidentified nfs element is too loud. Quite often I've got those annoying messages "nfs x server not responsible, still trying" and after a while "server x OK" displayed on a console I currently work on. Nfs servers are rather optimized, the real problem is the switch. I tried to find out which element exactly complains so often: it is not kernel, not syslog, my guess is its either statd or automount. Those things got really complicated on RH systems.
