Hi,
We've got a really congested intranet in here, based of course on RH
7.1. There're several machines acting as nfs servers and lots of
crossed mounts ;-).
The problem I've got is an unidentified nfs element is too loud.
Quite often I've got those annoying messages "nfs x server not
responsible, still trying" and after a while "server x OK" displayed
on a console I currently work on.
Nfs servers are rather optimized, the real problem is the switch.
I tried to find out which element exactly complains so often: it is
not kernel, not syslog, my guess is its either statd or automount. Those
things got really complicated on RH systems.

Is there any guru out there wishing to explain too me what should be
tweaked ?
