I jus want to clarify my original message.
The card will autonegotiate to either speed as
required.  Autonegotiation reports to the console
and the card and its parameters are listed when I
type ifconfig.  However I can't get out to the network 
via this interface and I'm not seeing any LED activity
on the NIC.  the server previously had NetWare on
it and the interface was working.
On Feb 12 I wrote:
