I am looking for a solution to make an authentication server. I have a lot of dudes and I hope you can help me. I am going to install some servers with some network services, those servers will be avaible for 400 users (more or less) I don't know what software use LDAP? NIS? a SQL database? I don't know waht the advantages of nay of those softwares. The software must be secure (if it is possible it should be run over encription on the lan), it will be use as authentication server and I think it should be offer roaming profiles or something like that.
