Hey Siram, I tried what you suggested below, but it did not work. I downloaded RedHat 7.2 and burned it to a CD, and at least it gives the following error message:
CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: 0000000000000004 Bank 2: b600000000140000 at 3600000000140000 Kernel panic CPU context corrupt. Sounds pretty bad, huh? I looked inside the box, and found out be checking out the manual that came with the motherboard that there is a jumper that has nothing on it but is supposed to define the CPU speed. Could that be the problem? But I still find it weird that Windows 98 runs fine on this machine and Linux 5.2 does too. - Bjarki > i faced one such problem but am not sure if this would work out for u.. > > just give about 2-5 MB free space after providing the partition information....(leave some free space)and start .... > i gave about 5 MB free space and it happily started installing > On Wed, 20 Mar 2002, Aaron Konstam wrote: > > !Date: Wed, 20 Mar 2002 08:38:05 -0600 > !From: Aaron Konstam <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > !Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > !To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > !Subject: Re: Installation problems Red Hat 7.1 > ! > !On Tue, Mar 19, 2002 at 04:44:57PM -0800, Bjarki Bjorgulfsson wrote: > !> Hello everyone, > !> > !> I'm having huge problems with my Red Hat 7.1 Linux installation.
