Hi to all.

  I am using R.H.7.1 on a second hand compaq presario 1275. Everything
is working fine, I don't have any problem running it, yet; I also run
Windoze 2k from time to time, because of some applications.
  My question is the following: I will like to downgrade to Windoze 98
(the reason is obvious), but if I do so I will the installation program
of Windoze will overwrite what's in the booting sector, thus deleting
lilo and blocking my way to access the linux partition. The trouble is
this machine has the floppy drive broken, so I cannot boot from a floppy
disk. I tried with the installation disks from R.H., using the rescue
option, but I cannot run lilo, or I don't know the proper way to run it
using this option.
   So, my question is: is there a way I can run lilo from the rescue
option of the installation disks? This or is there any other way to boot
to the linux partition after your Windoze has "whipped out" the booting
sector?

Any help or tips are welcome.
Thank you all in advance.
