My guess (and it is just a guess) is that it has something to do with hostname resolution (DNS). I've had some problems with such delays on my home LAN when using telnet, ssh, and ftp. Do you have problems with any of those services? I use lpd, what do you use to print? As a quick test, check your printer config file (on the Linux client) and replace the hostname of the print server with it's IP address. If it already has the IP address, then I don't know what the problem is. If that fixes the delay, you might want to dig a little deeper and try to fix the actual problem since it will crop up over and again. :) Regards, Ben -- Ben Logan: ben at wblogan dot net OpenPGP Key KeyID: A1ADD1F0 What I tell you three times is true. -- Lewis Carroll _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
