I'm trying to convert my / to run on ext3 (kernel-2.4.9-13), after
following the howto's, it still seems thats it running ext2.
Heres what I done:

tune2fs -j /dev/sda5
tune2fs -i 0 /dev/sda5

altered /etc/fstab to read:

/dev/sda5 / ext3 defaults 1 1

rebooted..

The output of cat /proc/mounts:

/dev/root / ext2 rw 0 0

also running mount shows:

/dev/sda5 on / type ext3 (rw)

also there is a huge .journal of about 33mb is size on /

>From the information that I have submitted is / running ext3 or still
ext2?

Also if it's running ext3, why when running cat /proc/mounts, does it show
/dev/root / ext2
What is this?, is it the / filesystem?

Thanks in a advance

Mark
