hi,

have tried out another file, was of about 71408994 blocks and ended on size 
of 790528 blocks with an input-output-error. Its equal as it is from 
ethercard 100MB to 10MB or 100MB to 100MB or 10 MB to 100MB.

you wrote of logfiles, which logfile is it, where I can look for ?

maybe, I can see something on tail -f /var/log/messages ?
