This tells me what happened (in very general terms), but how do I find out why (or at least a more detailed version of what)? Postgresql doesn't seem to log errors anywhere. Hopefully it does and I'm just not looking in the right place. There's a pg_log table that looked promising, but I can't access it even as the postgres user. Thanks, John
