Dear Aaron:
I have red hat linux 7.1. I added printer using printconf GUI tool which is supplied by RED hat.Thiis printer is HP Laser Jet 2100 attached to Windows 2000 machine. I added Unix printing service to Windows, so it prints text files OK, however it does not print ps files (i.e. it prints them raw rubbish). My printcapo file looks as follows:

# /etc/printcap
#
# DO NOT EDIT! MANUAL CHANGES WILL BE LOST!
# This file is autogenerated by printconf-backend during lpd init.
#
# Hand edited changes can be put in /etc/printcap.local, and will be included.

:sh:\
:ml=0:\
:mx=0:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp1:\
:rm=129.49.51.191:\
:rp=HP LaserJet 2100:\
:lpd_bounce=true:\
:if=/usr/share/printconf/mf_wrapper:

###############################################################################
## Everything below here is included verbatim from /etc/printcap.local ##
###############################################################################
# printcap.local
#
# This file is included by printconf's generated printcap,
/etc/printcap

I have ghostscript, obviously I have to add ghostscipt filter somehow, but how to do it?
Sincerely M. Gelfer
