I can't get this thing to create.
I'm using RH 7.1 and no matter how I load it
the msql.sock does not get created anywhere on the harddrive.
/var/lib/mysql is owned by
mysql/mysql
I have dos setup on the first 60% of disk with
linux on remaining 30%. Disk size is 20 GB.
Erth0 shows as active to 127.0.0.1
localhost
Modem does not work in linux, as it is a
software programed dos modem.
I know many have run into this before, but I
have not found any answers as to how to address it and make it work. I want
MySQL to work on linux RH 7.1 for testing purposes on a single
computer.
Any help would be appreciated.
