I have used Prodigy with Redhat 7.0 and 7.1 since they came out, and
when SBC-Yahoo bought them out last summer, I made the transition to
Yahoo and it works very well.

I don't use any DNS numbers. Yahoo doesn't require them. Everything
works fine without them.

If you are able to dial in debug mode, it should work with the Redhat
PPP dialer too.

Is your PPP dialer showing your Yahoo account that you set up?

If it is, select that and attempt to dial. The modem should respond.

Check /var/log/ messages for information about what is going on.





I get no errors when dialing in debug mode.  When using RHppp dialer I
do
not hear the modem doing anything.  Thanks. BB
