(1) A new Tor remote control tool is available in the perlpsyc distribution.
It can optionally forward critical errors to a PSYC chatroom.
(2) secushare.org is updating its website. The distracting introductory
words have moved into their own "introduction" page. The "anonymity" page
explains why we can't do secushare over Tor, I2P or cjdns.
(3) the YBTI gentoo overlay is growing every day. You can have a working
gnunet, psyced and perlpsyc set-up within minutes.
(4) the overlay also contains a guix package. ng0 is adapting PSYC tools
for the guix distribution while also trying to make guix run on gentoo.
This would result in having a reproducible linux distribution while having
gentoo fill in the gaps that guix isn't covering yet.
(5) secushare work currently consists in debugging "gnunet social" and
figuring out where it goes wrong. We created extensive testing tools
and could use help in fixing the code. Once it works, doing even simple
hacks such as gnunet-based chatrooms would be feasible within days.
The bugs are the only reason we are stuck.
(6) The curses-based native PSYC client "psycion" has been adapted to
run with current versions of perl and is a neat alternative to IRC or
telnet-based clients.
