Hi:
I am having a problem I guess understanding my public and private keys,
and I was hoping I might get some assisitance. I have generated my keys
and I have copied the public key into
/home/[usrname]/.ssh/authorized_keys2 on the machine running the server.
Should it look like this : 1024 35 1928...32174 202883...
or like this : 1024 3454649...38902 229402...????
Now, should this be identity.pub if we are using protocol two or should
it be id_rsa, id_dsa, or both?
If everything is in the proper order, the keys should make it where the
password authentication is not necessary, correct? I can establish a
link and use it but only by using passwords.
I thought I had everything where it was supposed to be according to the
man pages but I'm afraid I must have got confused. Any assistance would
be greatly appreciated. If this is the wrong list, could someone point
me in the right direction?
