Care to clarify this a bit, or should I read the source? Also, I don't know which systems you are referring to, I come from an OpenBSD background and their sudo implimentation seems very well done and it's promoted over using su for everything (it was even written by one of their devellopers if I'm not mistaken). Let's not drift off subject here, we were talking about root logins in sshd.
